Healing Voices Foundation

Breaking Cycles and Rebuilding Lives

Who We Are

Healing Voices Foundation (HVF) is a not-for-profit organisation created to break the cycles of harm caused by the criminal justice system and to build real pathways for healing and reintegration.

We are led by people with lived experience of incarceration and institutional abuse. We know the barriers of stigma, trauma, and survival, and we walk alongside others to help break those cycles. Our work is about healing, rebuilding lives, and creating communities where no one is left behind.

Mission Statement

Led by lived experience, Healing Voices Foundation (HVF) is dedicated to reducing recidivism and empowering people impacted by incarceration and institutional abuse to heal, thrive, and rebuild their lives with dignity and purpose.

The Magnitude of the Problem

The majority of people in prison carry deep scars of trauma. Behind every statistic is a person who was never given the chance to heal, to feel safe, or to build a life outside of survival.

At Healing Voices Foundation, we deliver programs designed and led by people with lived experience of incarceration and institutional abuse. Our work focuses on breaking the cycle of reoffending by providing real pathways to healing, stability, and reintegration.

Our work involves:

  • Pre-release Preparation

  • Holistic Reintegration Support

  • Community Engagement & Advocacy

  • Collaborative Partnerships
